摘要

XML的广泛采用产生了一组新的数据管理需求,例如存储和查询XML文档的需求。Web上没有关联模式的XML文档越来越多。查询这类XML文档很困难。提出了一种新的基于模型映射的XML文档存储模型,即XPEV。基于模型映射的存储模型的独特之处在于,XML数据存储不需要dtd(文档类型声明)或XML模式信息。格式良好(非dtd)的XML文档可以通过XPEV的三个表(路径表、边缘表和值表)轻松地存储在关系数据库中。实验表明,XPEV模型优于其他已知的模型映射方法。
