Post processor is applied to reduce particulate matters (PM) and Nitrogen Oxide compound (NOx) in the air. However, the post processors should require an appropriate monitor to track their performance in real time for an overall effect evaluation. This paper presents a monitor system using microprocessor design for data acquisition and real time reporting on Internet via wireless communication. The proposed monitor system includes the on-board unit hardware for post processor data acquisition, control station at garage, and surveillance center at Environment Protection Administration (EPA). Verification using trash vehicles and city buses in Kaohsiung City is demonstrated.
