Food security and global sustainability are important challenges for the current planet evolution, being the communities and ecosystems separated from the big cities, the most vulnerable. On the other hand, and in accordance with what is stated by the sustainable development objectives, there is a hypothesis about the supply of energy that can bring benefits and challenges for the communities, and for which the intervention of actors of the academy, the state, is required, the company, the civil society in search of a sustainable development. In the search for energization solutions for communities, it is necessary to carry out engineering designs that consider various socioeconomic variables, in which the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies can favor the structuring and organization of data related to these different variables. The research described in this article aims to conduct a review of descriptive literature on ICT solutions for the analysis of energy supply in smart cities, including the description of a test case in a community belonging to an agropolis. For its development, a review of the descriptive literature was carried out, consulting databases such as Scielo, Ebsco and IEEE and ScienceDirect; The search strategy was based on the combination of the keywords ICT, Software and Energy. Finally, different software tools were identified for the analysis of the energy supply, identifying that the Homer Energy tool was the most appropriate integral to perform the modeling. All of the above integrated to describe a possible mode of application for a representative case in an agropolis whose source of development is goat livestock.1

This article is an overview of a conceptual solution for the integration of heterogeneous information systems. Generally, universities have difficulties in obtaining information in an integrated way their information systems, for example, Learning Management System (LMS) and Academic Management System, a large part of these systems works in an isolated and without perspective way for offer services in an integrated way. In this context, the proposed solution uses Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) through Web Services and Cloud Computing in order to implement a model of integration between Moodle Learning Management System and Academic Management System Q-Academic of Instituto Federal de Educacao, Ciencia e Tecnologia do Piaui — IFPI. And in this way it contributes for the better management between these systems in which it is increasing the quality of information provided for users and reducing the possibility of mistakes caused by manual handling process information. This work also contributes in some way to increase the quality in the teaching process, because it allows for teachers more autonomy in their administrative tasks and teachers can also dedicate more time to develop their main activities. And, besides, it provides for students better information about their academic information.

When large amounts of data is handled, it is important to obtain the desired compatibility between such data to perform activities of access and storage of information; data models are a tool that helps to determine the structure of the information, in order to improve communication and accuracy in applications that use and exchange data with each other for a common purpose. Nowadays, there is no framework for health supporting the data modeling design, i.e. the existing models are generic and therefore are not suitable to support personalized systems and they do not consider the quality of clinical and personal data, required in health care. Based on the CRISP-DM methodology, a framework is proposed to design a data model for personalized health systems. This framework ensures the security of personal and clinical data to relate it with health standards, particularly with the Personal Health (PHR) ISO/TR 14292 standard, which addresses the recommendations of the parameters that must be within a personalized health system. To perform accurate recommendations it is important to make a data mining process, where the data is related to guarantee an accurate and reliable personalization; these relations generated by the model should be taken into account to apply them a data mining technique.

The use of technology in schools and the use of virtual environments to provide access to high school, technical education, higher education and Continuing Education are presented as an innovative proposal within the possibilities for educators of our country. In this perspective is that there are tools that should be used by students who have any special needs, in which the school must have knowledge and special conditions of pedagogical resources for the development of academic activities, thus contributing to the education Accessibility. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the learning objects available in the international repository of Learning Objects — (LOs) that treat the subject Homologous chromosomes and have accessibility criteria. In addition, it presents an example of Learning Object, created by the multidisciplinary team of the Learning Object Lab — LOA, of Instituto Federal de Educacao, Ciencia e Tecnologia do Piaui — IFPI, which provides education with affordability. The research is qualitative and the results show that the object of learning analyzed do not present any of the accessibility criteria.

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are common nowadays in infrastructure such as tunnels, buildings and highways. Information gathered from in-situ deployed sensors is useful for maintenance purposes, evaluating infrastructure response before particular situations and preventing catastrophic events, among others. The design and implementation of a wireless sensor network for monitoring infrastructure adjacent to Metro de Medellín railway system is presented. A wireless network constituted by a set of nodes involving 8-bit microcontrollers uses the IEEE 802.15.4-compliant MiWi Protocol for communications within the Personal Area Range. Measurement data can be retransmitted over longer distances, within the local area or metropolitan area range, through communication gateways connected to network coordinator.

The Internet is active and very dynamic. It has enabled an unprecedented evolution in telematics and information systems, and in turn a global revolution in the use of technology and digital citizenry. Although many see the technologies that have driven this revolution as inventions of the past 1 to 2 decades, quite a few had their genesis before the Internet became mainstream. In exploring the history of the Internet, we see how it has facilitated innovations across all areas of technology and social life, and with a little imagination are perhaps able to get a glimpse of what is to come. A lot of technologies related to the Web environment have emerged in this area: Blogs, Wikis, Social Networks, Content Managers, etc. Finally, it's important to understand the concept of semantic annotation and information extraction using technologies such as rich snippets, SPARQL, GRDDL etc., tools that enable better management and knowledge recovering. Some examples of application of web 3.0 are: Linked Open Data, semantic search engines, semantic web services, social Semantic Web, semantic wiki etc.

In this paper we study the container loading problem as a tridimensional bin-packing type problem, for a weakly heterogeneous set of blocks. The study seeks to exploit the space of a container to transport boxes of lettuce through the distribution network of agricultural products in Panama. Furthermore, we describe a new method with linear equations for modeling mathematically the containers filling process and their respective computational representation through Colored Petri Nets.
