Time-domain Simulation of Semiconductor Laser Light with Correlated Amplitude and Phase Noises
We present a simple and effective way to generate a time-domain description of laser light, including amplitude and phase noise, and their correlation, through numerical solution of density rate equations with random process rates. The simulation algorithm is outlined, and the results are compared with theoretical predictions, showing very good agreement.
