However, it has some well-known disadvantages, such as narrow zero-voltage switching (ZVS)range, primary circulating current and large output filter. In order to improve the performance of FB converter, a new family of dual asymmetrical half-bridge DC-DC converter is introduced in this paper. These converters can achieve wide ZVS range, reduced circulating current and reduced the size of filter inductor. The operation principle and analysis of one particular converter, taken as an example of the converter family, are explained.
