The proposed method is based on the zero-crossing detection technique. The proposed method works very well even when with variation in the frequency of the input signal while the conventional Zero Crossing Detector (ZCD) fails. The proposed technique shows a very fast response in case of phase change, distorted signal and frequency change. The technique has been simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment and also tested experimentally.
