This research was a quantitative research. It used a statistical approach. This research also used the correlation method since in this study we wanted to see the correlation between two variables. The first variable was the students’ interest in arabic vocabularies learning and the second variable was the students' ability of speaking skill in arabic conversation. The sample consisted of 33 people who were randomly selected. The data which the researcher wanted to produce was about students' interest in arabic vocabularies lessons and its correlation to their abilities of speaking skill in arabic conversation. The instruments used were questionnaires, interviews, and oral examinations to determine conversation abilities. In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive and correlation analysis. Descriptive analysis was used to determine students' interest on conversation learning, while correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between interest in arabic vocabularies learning and students' abilities of speaking skill in arabic conversation. The results showed that: the students’ interest in arabic vocabularies learning was at a high level with the score of 76.60. However their ability of speaking skill in arabic conversation was still at a sufficient level with the score of 68.54.
