Is social media used as social activities or academic activities? (Study for college student's subject in information technology)

recently most college students use social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, LINE, and YouTube every day as social interaction media. This research will show the common use of social media of college students for academic- related purposes. Social media have a good effect on self and performance students. A questionnaire survey was self-administered directly to students and quantitative descriptive and explanatory methodology use for this research. The results showed that college student intensively uses social media for social activities and also for academic relate activities. The development of social media will make significantly better study learning process college student.
