In this article the author proposes to use digital control-transfer standards, which will allow evaluating university students at any of the four stages of chess training (elementary, special, improvement, higher mastery). The digital control system will not only evaluate the level of knowledge, skills and abilities at all stages of training, but will also analyse problematic topics and suggest improvements in them.
