GRAMMATICAL COMPETENCE IN THE PROFESSIOGRAM OF THE FUTURE TEACHER OF THE PHILOLOGY
In the current conditions of assertion of the Ukrainian identity and the Ukrainian language, the state needs highly qualified specialists capable of self-development, self-realisation, with the ability to learn and teach. Therefore higher education institutions, which train professionally qualified pedagogical staff, including future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature, occupy a significant place. The purpose of the article is to describe the specifics of the grammatical competence formation among future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature by the implementation of complex (morphological and syntactic) analyses of language units. Linguistic analysis is one of the most effective types of exercises, in the process of which students highlight certain language units in the text in order to analyse them in detail according to the goal. The analysis of language units can be carried out both at the beginning of the academic year and semester to check the level of acquired knowledge (as a propaedeutic element of learning), and after studying a certain section (phonetics, lexicology, morphology, syntax, etc.) (as a final form of control). However, usually, such exercises become training. It allows to diagnose the solidity of knowledge, the depth of understanding of a certain language phenomenon by the students of education, on which depends the quality of the formed competences of the future teacher and the ability to use knowledge during pedagogical activities. Unlike other types of exercises, where creativity plays an important role, language analyses are carried out under a scheme, according to a sample, to a clear algorithm, which allows to keep the sequence in the memory and provides the completeness of the analysis. Consequently, grammatical competences formed with the help of a number of well-chosen exercises and tasks, including linguistic analyses, will allow philology students – future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature – to automatically feel the language, select the correct word forms, and deftly build sentences. It is precisely what will help implement communicative language and at the same time will form grammatical literacy among their students during the process of pedagogical activity.
