Functional condition of the skin in women with metabolic syndrome
It is known that in people with metabolic diseases, reparation processes are disturbed during surgical interventions. However, the functional state of the skin during the development of the metabolic syndrome has been little studied. The aim of the work was to investigate the functional state of the skin in women with metabolic syndrome. Materials and methods. The study included 60 women aged 39 to 55 who sought surgical care for cosmetic skin defects. The control group consisted of 30 practically healthy women. Signs of metabolic syndrome were registered in 30 women who were included in the main group. The rate of reproduction of basal keratinocytes was determined according to the method of P. V. This indicates a decrease in the rate of division of basal epidermocytes in the case of the development of metabolic syndrome.
