To address this concern, a quality improvement study was implemented across 34 long-term care (LTC) homes in Ontario, Canada. The study aimed to reduce inappropriate antipsychotic use by implementing evidence-based deprescribing practices. The study resulted in a 40.6% reduction in inappropriate antipsychotic use.
