One of the literacy skills that should be developed nowadays is media literacy. Information can be more accessible to children through their ability to use information technology and media. This research aimed to determine the needs of media literacy of elementary school students . The purpose of this research is to know students' accessibility the most to media, media influence, and the importance of media literacy ability to be owned by grade V elementary school students . Through a survey approach that has been conducted on 83 students of Class V primary schools in Purworejo, Central Java , The results of this study describe that students of grade V elementary school in Purworejo have been familiar with media technology. Most of them can access the media especially television . Therefore, it is necessary media literacy ability to increase students' awareness of various content in the media information, so that students can be wise in choosing the appropriate content with his age . 摘要

在印度尼西亚,政府推出了Gerakan Literasi Sekolah(GLS),旨在让学习者成为文学一代。当今应该培养的识字技能之一是媒介素养。通过儿童使用信息技术和媒体的能力,他们可以更容易地获得信息。本研究旨在确定小学生媒介素养的需求。本研究的目的是了解学生对媒体的可及性、媒体的影响力,以及五年级小学生拥有媒体素养的重要性。通过对中爪哇省Purworejo市83名五年级小学学生进行的调查,本研究的结果表明,Purworeho市五年级小学的学生已经熟悉媒体技术。他们中的大多数人都能接触到媒体,尤其是电视。因此,提高学生对媒体信息中各种内容的认识,使学生能够明智地选择适合自己年龄的内容,是培养学生媒介素养的必要条件。媒体素养的发展可以在GLS中实施
