Determinan Personal Hygiene pada Siswa-Siswi Asrama

Personal hygiene is an action to maintain hygiene and health for physical and psychological well-being. Based on the comparison of sick absent data of students from Boarding School MTS Hudatul Falah, it is known that there is an increase in morbidity caused by personal hygiene from 2019 to 2020. This study aims to determine the determinants of personal hygiene in students at Boarding School MTS Hudatul Falah in 2020. The method used is cross sectional, using questionnaire sheets. The population is all students who live in the dormitory of MTS Hudatul Falah totaling 85 people. Total population research sample. The univariate analysis results illustrate the personal hygiene of Hudatul Falah MTS Boarding School students in the unfavorable category by 40% and the good category by 60%. The results of bivariate analysis using statistical tests with ChiSquare showed that the related variables were information exposure (pv=0.036, OR=2,875) and peer roles (pv=0.043). Suggestions for boarding school students are expected to be able to dig deeper information related to how to maintain personal hygiene and can provide support to their peers.
