In this work, it is analyzed as an emerging greenhouse gas removal technology against climate change that provides multiple co-benefits for the environment, in addition to green electricity. Compared to other negative emission technologies, DET might be able to remove atmospheric methane (CH<sub>4</sub>) without adding additional equipment, materials or costs.
