Pembentukan karakter melalui PAI yang didasarkan pada beberapa dalil agama Islam, seperti firman, “La Qod Kana lakum fi Rasulillahi Uswatun Hasanah; Sungguh ada bagi kalian teladan yang baik pada diri Rasulullah” (al-Ahzab: 21) dan “Innama Bu'istu Li Utammima Makarima'l- Akhlaq; Sesungguhnya aku hanya diutus untuk menyempurnakan akhlak” (HR. Ahmad a al-Bayhaqi) dirasakan mampu menjadikan anak didiknya menjadi manusia berkarakter. Pembentukan karakter melalui PAI di MI Miftahul Huda 01 dalam proses dan hasilnya: pertama, dapat membentuk anak didik bersikap inklusif, demokratis dan toleran. Kedua, memengaruhi kecerdasan intelektual, kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual. Ketiga, terintegrasi dengan mata pelajaran lain. There are many method to make the character of students in a school, one of them is through Islamic Education (PAI). This paper aims to analyze a view, process and outcome of character building through PAI in MI Miftahul Huda 01, Papungan, Kanigoro, Blitar. The formation of character through PAI is based on several arguments of the religion of Islam, as the word; ”La qod Kana lakum fi Rasulillahi Uswatun Hasanah; It's there for you a good example in the Prophet himself ” (al-Ahzab: 21) and ”Innama Bu'istu Li Utammima Makarima ‘l-Akhlaq; I was sent only to enhance the morals” (HR. Ahmad and al-Bayhaqi) felt able to make their students into human character. The formation of character through the PAI in MI Miftahul Huda 01 in the process and outcome: firstly, can form a protege being inclusive, democratic, and tolerant. Secondly, affect the intellectual, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence.
