Kadyr Ali-bek: historical memory of the Turkic-Tatar history”. The organizers of this event were the Marjani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences (Kazan, RF); the Department of Turkology of the Institute of Slavic, Turkic and Circum-Baltic Studies of the Johannes Gutenberg University (Mainz, Germany); the Kasimov Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve (Kasimov, RF); the International Public Organization “Association of Researchers of the Golden Horde” (Kazan, RF); and the Institute for Research of the Great Steppe (Almaty, Kazakhstan). The conference raised topical issues from the history of the Golden Horde and the post-Horde khanates with particular attention paid to the Kasimov Khanate and its Khan, Uraz-Muhammad. The main focus of the researchers was drawn to the work of Kadyr Ali-bek, his “Jami al-tawarikh”, which is still a valuable source for scholars from a wide range of fields. A presentation for the release of the academic edition of the work of Kadyr Ali-bek and the Z.A. Khisamieva’s book “The language of the dastans of Kadyr Ali-bek” was held within the framework of the conference. To date, the academic publication is the first and only one in which all known lists of “Jami al-tawarikh” by Kadyr Ali-bek are collected, and their archaeographic description is also provided. In addition, this edition contains a critical text, transcription, and translation into Russian of the entire text.
