As there is few study on impulses ventilation system to control fire smoke, numerical simulations on fire smoke control using FDS 6.3.2 have been carried out in a carpark with 4000 m2. It is found that impulse ventilation can effectively help the firefighters by making the fire upstream with less smoke.
