Antimicrobial chemotherapy made remarkable advances, However, in reality emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases have left us facing a counter charge from infections. Infections with drug resistant organisms remain pertinent problem in clinical practice that is difficult to solv. (In the present study, the antimicrobial activity of the polar (methanolic) plant extracts viz. Polygonatum cirrhifolium (Mahamedha) and Habeneria intermedia (Riddhi) were determined at 200μg/ml. The results showed significant antimicrobial activity against the pathogens studied viz. Staphylococcus epidermidis, Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans. 摘要

抗菌药物不仅使传染病的治疗发生了巨大变化,而且使整个人类发生了巨大变化。抗菌化疗取得了显著的进步,然而,在现实中,新出现和复发的传染病使我们面临着来自感染的反收费。耐药菌感染一直是临床实践中难以解决的问题。(本研究采用极性(甲醇)植物提取物,即黄蓼(Mahamedha)和哈贝内菌(Riddhi),在200μg/ml浓度下测定其抗菌活性。)对表皮葡萄球菌、黑曲霉、白色念珠菌等病原菌均有明显的抑菌活性。强效抗菌提取物的MIC值在150 ~ 200 μg/ml范围内。
