In order, to reproduce the scenarios of medical care in a more efficient and reliable way, the Design of Simulation needs to be well planned to take the student to the highest possible level of achievement. AIMS: Measure the evaluation of the quality of the characteristics of the design of the simulation scenario by the students of medical courses. METHODS: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study carried out with medical students, in the period of February 2019. The final sample was 90 students. The Likert Simulation Design Scale was used to assess the structure of the simulation scenario, the data were tabulated and compared using means and standard deviation. RESULTS/DISCUSSION: In view of the analyzed items of the Simulation Design Scale, all obtained positive results in the evaluation, as well as the importance of proper design elaboration. The one that obtained predominant agreement was the factor \"Realism\", with an average of 4,94 and a standard of 0,20. The one that obtained predominant importance was the factor “Feedback/reflection”, with an average of 4,95 and a standard of 0,16. CONCLUSION: The results of this study indicate predominantly positive perceptions of medical students about the design built for applied simulation and its importance for the process and learning.
