A 10th order unstable and multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system of a waste water treatment plant (WWTP) is considered in this paper. The paper highlights the extension of balanced realization theory for obtaining reduced order model for unstable system. The results obtained have been compared through a performance index, Integral Square Error (ISE).
