关于薯蓣(Dioscorea dumetorum, D. dumetorum)的花生物学、雌雄花同步、开花物候和控制授粉等方面的研究文献很少。然而,如果没有对这些生物学特性或现象的知识和理解,就无法对这种在喀麦隆广泛消费并具有特殊营养品质的山药物种进行遗传改良。本研究的目的是:(1)研究dumetorum的有性生殖生物学;(2)研究该植物的开花音系;(3)开发一种授粉方法以获得杂交苗。
