Establishing a statement of principles for community engagement with civil engineering
Community engagement with civil engineering is essential to deliver the United Nations sustainable development goals and to address ‘wicked’ problems such as climate change. This paper explains how the Institution of Civil Engineers developed its statement of Principles for Community Engagement with Engineering to underpin best practice across the infrastructure project lifecycle.
