The stressed-deformed state of seat-ball has been theoretically studied. It was established that one of the major reasons for the breakdown of the valve unit is the deformation of seat edge. Considered the mentioned above, a design of valve unit allowing eliminating the probable deformation of the seat from ball beat is offered.
