Abstract
Tail gas power generation is an effective way to handle tail gas, which can avoid environmental pollution and improve the utilization of fossil energy. Currently, the tail gas power generation is not incorporated into the power system dispatch. Uncontrolled tail gas power generation occupy the generation of renewables. Moreover, fluctuations of tail gas power generation caused by random tail gas sources challenge the security of the power system operation. Therefore, it is necessary to achieve stable and reasonable power generation of tail gas by incorporating it into the power system dispatch. The difficulty lies in how to handle the fluctuations of tail gas resources. With this in mind, an optimal dispatch method for the power system considering the tail gas power generation is proposed in this paper. The detailed tail gas power generation model is proposed. The target of keeping the level of the gas tank (a device for storing the tail gas) at the middle level is considered, which ensures the capability of handling the fluctuations of tail gas sources.
