Abstract

The foresighted fabrication of hetero-junction photovoltaic cells can be made more efficient by incorporating silicon nanoparticles synthesized from the sand of the Padma river of Bangladesh. Alumino-Thermic process was used to reduce silicon from sand and the purified silicon was then gone through the ultrasonication method to make the silicon powder of bigger diameter into nanoparticle range. Sonication time was varied and different profile distribution was observed by the DLS test.
