Improvement of contrast of Terahertz Images of a Terahertz Chemical Microscopy using Adaptive Digital Filter 用自适应数字滤波器改善太赫兹化学显微镜太赫兹图像的对比度

A Terahertz Chemical Microscope has been proposed and developed for the visualization of chemical reactions in the solutions. To visualize chemical reactions with higher imaging quality and higher scanning speed, it is required to improve the contrast of the images. In this study, we applied an adaptive filter to the TCM system and evaluate the imaging quality qualitatively. The contrasts without filter and with filter are 0.33 and 0.74 respectively. This result shows that our system with the filter could improve the imaging quality without losing the scanning speed of the microscope.

Present Situation and Future Trend of Renewable Energy in South Asian Countries: A Review 南亚国家可再生能源现状与未来趋势综述

The indemnity of energy around the world has always been a matter of inquietude. The standardization of life and national economy are dependent on the utilization of an adequate amount of energy. Therefore, different initiatives have been taken to maintain a secured future in the energy sector for all the countries in the world. South Asian countries have a tremendous opportunity to create a potential regional collaboration which includes bilateral and multilateral energy deal between the states and a generalized energy policy which can guide future energy security. According to the present scenario of energy conservation, production, and expenditure of the countries in this region, it is seen that integration of cooperation between South Asian countries is necessary. The study describes the renewable energy potentiality and present consumption pattern in South Asian countries. The paper also highlights the future prospect and a sustainable solution for future energy security in this region.

Design and Implementation of Automated Switching and Real-Time Monitoring of Hybrid Solar System 混合太阳能系统自动切换与实时监控的设计与实现

This paper demonstrates a designed prototype of an instant power supply scheme to assure continuous output current to load in housing application to utilize both renewable energy and Grid. The design procedure and performance evaluation an improved quality “Arduino” based smart switching controller for a hybrid solar system. Based on a programmable algorithm, a smart switching controller was designed using a relay and voltage sensing element for cost-effective operation within the grid-tied solar system and reducing power consumption from the grid. The switching controller controls the power supply to the load by confirming the availability of the solar, battery and grid. The implemented automatic Switching system demonstrates that it has the capability of automatic switching and acceptable performance for grid-connected Hybrid Solar System. At nominal voltage output and frequency, the inverter output has been simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK. A real-time online WiFi module and LCD based monitoring circuit have been developed and adapted to monitor the whole system for the efficient operation of the system.

Characterization of structure and dielectric properties of solid state synthesized (1-x)Bi0.5 Na0.5 TiO3 - xBaTiO3 ceramic around the MPB region MPB区周围固态合成(1-x)Bi0.5 Na0.5 TiO3 - xBaTiO3陶瓷的结构和介电性能表征

Dielectric and structural properties of energy storage (1-x) Bi0.5Na0.5-xBaTiO3(x=0.04,0.06,0.0S) ceramics were analyzed by preparing the samples by conventional solid state sintering method. Since electrical properties of ceramics are strongly influenced by the density, a close examination of it has been presented by a graph. XRD results ensured the formation of the perovskite structure and a tetragonal-rhombohedral morphologic phase boundary was located in 0.06$leq xleq$0.08 range, which demonstrated the superior dielectric properties. Growing BT concentration inhabited the grain growth which was revealed by SEM analysis. All BNT-BT samples had a superior dielectric constant, being in the order 928-990 which were determined room temperature at 1 Hz frequency. The highest value of dielectric constant was $8_{text{r}}=988$, which was achieved by the same sample with x$=0.08$ at (1-x)BNT-xBT. All these results exhibit that, 0.92BNT-0.08BT fabricated by solid-state sintering method is a promising lead-free ceramics with excellent structural and electrical properties.

Throughput Analysis for Wideband Opportunistic Radio Network 宽带机会无线网的吞吐量分析

Opportunistic radio network (ORN) is one of the promising solution to spectrum insufficiency as it has drawn paramount attention for proper allocation of spectrum in wireless communication system. Cooperation in ORN provides enhanced performance and better quality of services (QoS) than no cooperation case. Firstly opportunistic users (OU) senses spectrum then takes their decisions cooperatively about presence and data transmission state of primary users (PU), so it provides better probability of detection $(P_{d})$ about whether Primary User (PU) is active or inactive and lower probability of false alarm $(P_{f})$. For cooperation among OUs, sensing time increases but better detection, reliable data transmission and maximized throughput is achieved. In this paper comparative studies among different cooperative decision fusion operations and their effect on throughput under different fading channels (Rayleigh and Nakagami) are presented. Finally, an optimal tradeoff between sensing time and time frame for different fusion operations and fading channels are analyzed for wideband ORN.

Demand-side Fuel-cells and Controllable Loads to Reduce Operational Costs of Micro-grid through Optimal Unit Commitment 需求侧燃料电池和可控负荷通过优化机组承诺降低微电网运行成本

Nowadays, the price of photovoltaic (PV) has been reducing drastically, that has been increasing the installation of PVs in both power supply-side and demand-side. Definitely, it is a positive development, but huge penetration of PVs in the daytime changes the load demand of thermal generators (TGs) and increases the peak and off-peak gap. This change may create duck curve. Duck curve increases the TG’s fuel cost and start-up cost(SUC) because of frequently start-up and shutdown, and ramping up and down of generators reduce the efficiency. Therefore, load leveling is essential, but it is a challenging issue. This research proposes a smart micro-grid operation and management system for a large island. The micro-grid considers PVs, TGs in supply-side and demand-side considers smart houses which include rooftop gird connected PVs, fuel-cells(FCs), controllable loads and other loads. Real-time pricing (RTP) based demand response (DR) has been introduced for shifting the usages of controllable loads and FCs for leveling the loads. Neural Networks predicts the PVs output power and MATLAB® INTLINPROG optimization toolbox determines simulation results.

Object Detection Based Security System Using Machine learning algorthim and Raspberry Pi 基于机器学习算法和树莓派的目标检测安全系统

Conventional security systems that use surveillance cameras to monitor the property lacks the ability to notify the security administrator in the event of trespassing. A security camera when used along with a digital video recorder (DVR) is only effective as a source to gather evidence unless the video feed is constantly being monitored by a dedicated personnel. This paper discusses the implementation of a cost effective, intelligent security system that overcomes drawbacks of conventional security cameras by utilizing a machine learning and Viola-Jones algorithm under image processing literature to identify trespassers and multiple object detection in real time. The paper presents the design and implementation details of the intelligent object detection based security system in two different computing environment, MATLAB and Python respectively using Raspberry Pi 3 B single board computer. The security system is capable of alerting the security administrator through email via internet while activating an alarm locally.

Performance Study of UPQC under Non-linear 1oad, Unbalance linear 1oad, Symmetrical and Asymmetrical Faults UPQC在非线性负载、不平衡线性负载、对称和不对称故障下的性能研究

In this paper, the performance of a Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) is studied under nonlinear and unbalanced linear loads and also during symmetrical and asymmetrical faults. Two control schemes are used to regulate the UPQC. One of the control schemes are used for injecting/absorbing the requited amount of voltage into/from the line to maintain rated voltage during voltage sag/swell conditions whereas other is used for injecting current into the line to reduce harmonics during non-linear loads. Simulation is done using MATLAB/Simulink software and simulink results are analyzed.

A new Proposal for Enhancement of Protection Scheme for Microgrids 加强微电网保护方案的新建议

To design a perfect protection scheme is a big challenge for microgrid (MG) network implementation because it can operate either grid connected mode neither islanding mode. Due to distributed generation (DGs) resources the fault current always varied steadily hence the system parameters. This research focus on two vital properties of microgrid: peer-to-peer and plug-and-play to avoid sophisticated communication network for microgrid adaptive protection schemes. A microgrid model has been proposed by conventional protection scheme and addressing all possible drawbacks along with distributed energy resources. Whole microgrid is divided into different protection zone to identify perfect fault detection techniques by analyzing corresponding system parameters. Moreover, transformer protection also considered in new proposed protection scheme.
