Abstract

The reliable and safe operation of electric power systems is challenged to keep them operating obeying operational safety margins, all this within the context of the inherent power generation and consumption uncertainties. Maintaining the continuity and quality of electricity supply implies the need for models that can represent the dynamics of the electric power systems in order to provide tools for the study of dynamics, both in situations of contingencies and demand changes, as in normal operation. This work seeks to determine whether the behavior of sets of coherent bars can provide information on the stability of the electric power system. The proposed approach seeks independence of the use of established models for power electrical systems, through artificial intelligence algorithms applied in the evaluation of the voltage profiles of the various system buses under study.
