Abstract

- This report outlines the guidelines of a service-learning project for engineering courses that aims to promote improvements and low-cost constructive solutions for humble family houses built in regions subjected to natural hazards. The potential beneficiaries are the lowest-income people in Peru. They usually build their homes with quincha, an affordable vegetable-source material used in rural areas. objectives of project in active learning process the classical a handbook with building recommendations for these type of homes.
