Abstract
The purpose of this study is to collect Email marketing lecturers’ perceptions towards the difficulties and obstacles in the teaching process when using online tools. Data were collected using a survey and interviews with 8 lecturers majoring in Digital marketing from a vocational college in Vietnam, including both permanent and visiting lecturers. Survey results show that difficulties include the rapid change of online tools, the amount of time to study the new tools, skills and attitudes of students or the network and facilities, and the use of free teaching tools by both teachers and students leading to the lack of full functions of the tools. In addition, the limitations of each tool also cause difficulties for lecturers and students. Understanding the challenges may help the teachers to find out solutions to employ the online teaching tools effectively.
