It is shown that the statistics of finding equipment in a state of partial failure is an important factor for improving the overall reliability of equipment. Abstract

The article presents the results of analyzing the failure statistics of the main components of steam turbines of thermal power plants. Based on the results of the analysis established that the complexity of technological processes, taking into account turnaround time, failure rate, the production cycle of the equipment residual life allows to develop approaches to assessing the health of each element with the aim of obtaining reliable and representative sample of failure statistics to reliability assessment of steam turbine plants.
