SOVIET HERITAGE IN FORMATION AND INITIAL STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC AND PRC

Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of relations between the PRC and the Kyrgyz SSR/Kyrgyz Republic in the 1980s and early 1990s. The declared chronological period is due to the fact that the last years of the Kyrgyz SSR and the first years of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic are considered in the context of cooperation with the PRC. The development of border trade between the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) and the Kyrgyz SSR as part of the USSR served as the beginning of the continuation of bilateral relations, where Kyrgyzstan acts as a sovereign state. As a result, the process of building relationships begins, the beginning of which is the settlement of border issues. Historical, causal and inductive methods of analysis will provide some insight into the beginning and development of bilateral ties, which served as a platform for the continuation of a full-fledged partnership.
