Executives accept that AI will impact workforces as routine and logic based tasks become automated, leading to an increase in demand for EI skills. Even though AI is yet to replace skilled professionals, EI is what machines will remain deprived of. However forging of data, technology and emotional intelligence might be crucial to build an effective decision. HR professionals, policy and decision makers thus intend to leverage potential of AI technologies while seeking ways to offset the negative impacts of AI systems. The study proposes that in this era of technological leap, unprecedented disruption and ambiguous change; effective leadership needs to be redefined. Abstract

Artificial Intelligence - AI intervention in business has become pervasive across industries, making it invariably essential for human leadership to adapt. AI which might simulate human cognitive behaviour is likely to supplant human leadership. AI may thus redefine the role of leadership in organizations as AI progressively performs new intellectual tasks by replacing human intelligence.
