Abstract

We analyze the accuracy of a Thalmic Myo armband in regards to short-range pointing interfaces. Through an experiment with multiple trials, we investigate the factors that could have an impact on the recognition rate. We found that removing the armband between sessions of use and a small spatial distance between pointing locations have a negative impact on the accuracy. By applying an exploratory approach, we found a configuration with a 97.3% recognition rate.
