Abstract
In underground metal mining, with exposed area increasing, the rock mass of stope roof may become fractured. In this paper, a simulation method using lattice model cellular automata (CA) is set up, and a CA evolution rule algorithm considering tensile damage tensor of rock mass is developed. A computing program is put forward based on Matlab. According to the simulating results, the range of fractured zone in stope roof could be determined.
