Abstract

This paper presents the retrospect and prospect on the trend of some representative mm-Wave antenna solutions, AiP, AiME, AiAiP, and AoD, to cellular phones. The main trigger factors for generation of these solutions are the constrains (e.g., the path losses and blockage) on the mm-Wave applications. Strategically, the underlying philosophy for the above solutions is the part integration; tactically, the underlying philosophy for design variants of the solutions is the capability expansion.
