Design of Frequency-Scanned Multi-Polarization Antenna Based on Polarization Rotator 基于偏振旋转器的频扫多极化天线设计

A multi-polarization antenna consists of a bi-directional planar antenna and a polarization rotator array is proposed in this paper. Two orthogonal components of the radiated wave with the same magnitude are generated by the combined action of the planar antenna and the rotator. The distance between these two structures can adjust the phase difference between two orthogonal components ranging from -90° to 180° and monotonously changing with the frequency. The simulated results indicate that left-handed circularly-polarized (LHCP), right-handed circularly-polarized (RHCP) and two diagonal linearly-polarized (LP) waves are obtained at four different frequencies. Furthermore, these four states of polarized patterns can be switched by scanning the frequency. The proposed antenna with a fixed structure and a single feeding port can potentially be used in some applications requiring multiple polarization patterns.

A Study on Microstrip-fed Shorted Patch Antennas 微带馈电短贴片天线的研究

This paper studies the performance of microstrip-fed shorted patch antenna (SPA) by three different feeding schemes with a comparison of the traditional probe-fed one. It will be shown that the microstrip-fed SPAs generally exhibit similar gain and radiation pattern compared to the probe-fed SPA. The SPA fed from side edge behaves a larger cross-polarization radiation in E plane while the one fed from open or shorted edge remains the similar cross-polarization level as the probe-fed one. Besides, it was found that the SPA fed from shorted edge behaves a reduced resonant frequency while the one fed from open edge is opposite and performs smallest gain as well as bandwidth compared to other schemes.

Scattering Characteristics of Vortex Electromagnetic Waves by a Metal Plate 涡流电磁波在金属板上的散射特性

In this paper, the scattering characteristics of a metal flat plate illuminating by vortex EM waves are investigated. The scattering model is established by physical optics (PO) method and the bistatic radar cross section (RCS) calculations are derived. The scattering field is simulated by numerical simulation. The scattering characteristics including intensity distribution, phase distribution, orbital angular momentum (OAM) spectrum distribution and bistatic RCS calculations are analyzed. The results show that the scattering characteristics are different with conventional plane waves, and the scattering field has a high purity of OAM mode, which can provide a new prospect for radar detection and recognition.

Modelling on the Radiation Resistance Applied in Radiated EMI Noise from PCB with Attached Cables 带电缆PCB板辐射EMI噪声的辐射电阻建模

Noise source reconstruction (NSR) is a widely used technique in radiated EMI analysis. Based on the voltage driven model presented by Hubing T.H., radiation resistance is an important parameter for antenna model and EM field estimation. Due to low precision, a novel method is proposed to determine the radiation resistance accurately. Electric dipole model and rod-shaped antenna model are established to improve the precision due to different frequencies of noise sources. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show the suggest approach good validity and realization.

Design of C-band Dual-polarized waveguide slot Antenna for Spaceborne SAR 星载SAR c波段双极化波导缝隙天线设计

In this paper, a C-band dual-polarized waveguide slot antenna used in satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) subsystem is introduced. Horizontal polarization and vertical polarization realized by different slot forms respectively. The dual polarization waveguide slot antenna is composed of two layers of cavity. The vertically polarized waveguide ridge with capacitance plates reduces the performance with ridge gap. The final design structure is simple and easy to fabricate, Based on the project requirements, a 16*16 array is fabricated. the experimental results achive excellent performance. The VSWR is less than 1.6, the efficiency is more than 90%, the cross polarization is lower than -35dB.

Design of a Wideband Dual-polarized C-band Microstrip Antenna Array 宽带双极化c波段微带天线阵列的设计

This paper presents the design of a wideband dual-polarized microstrip antenna array working at C-band. The antenna adopts a multi-layer structure using additional parasitic patch, in order to achieve better port isolation and wide-band characteristics. The 1*4 array antenna is simulated and optimized, which is fed by the coplanar microstrip lines. The results show that the VSWRs of the antenna ports are less than 2 in the frequency range of 4.9 GHz to 6.1 GHz, with a relative bandwidth of about 21.8%. The designed antenna also has a gain of over 13.4 dB at the frequency of 5.5 GHz.

To avoid accidents and to make driving safe automotive radars are being developed that can accurately locate the presence of vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles. Antenna being an important component of automotive radar must have good performance, smaller size, low cost, and easy to fabricate characteristics. Recently, microstrip patch antennas having smaller size and easier to be integrated in vehicles are preferred over reflector and lens antennas. In this paper, corporate feed series microstrip antenna arrays are proposed for the automotive radar applications that work on 77 GHz. To achieve the better performance of the antenna, the width of the patch elements is tapered using Taylor Series. A 5×4 designed antenna array has achieved the gain of 18.7 dBi and bandwidth of 1.507 GHz with sidelobe levels of 16.6 dB. Simulation results of this designed antenna is far better in terms of antenna dimensions, cost, and easy fabrication when it is compared with other designed antennas.

In this paper, a novel compact pseudo-interdigital wideband bandpass filter based on substrate integrated coaxial line(SICL) is proposed in this paper. The proposed bandpass filter which can be realized in standard printed circuit boards (PCB). There are three resonance points in the frequency band, A filter prototype with compact size is simulated and the results indicate that the proposed filter centered at 5.6 GHz is realized with a bandwidth of 60%. The filter has the characteristics of low loss and low crosstalk.

Wideband Circularly Polarized Antenna With All-Textile Metasurface for Off-Body Communications 用于离体通信的全纺织超表面宽带圆极化天线

A novel wideband circularly polarized (CP) antenna with all-textile Metasurface (MS) is investigated for wearable devices. The proposed antenna is composed of a microstrip patch antenna (MPA), on which a tilt slot is etched for realizing CP radiation. A piece of MS is placed right above the MPA, achieving broadband performance. Specifically, the bandwidth broadening mechanism is revealed using the characteristic mode analysis. The simulated −10-dB bandwidth is 34.7% (4.65-6.56 GHz) and the 3-dB axial ratio is 22.4% (4.75-5.98 GHz) with a peak gain of 9.0 dBi as the antenna is attached to a multilayer human tissue model. In addition, the front-to-back ratio of the antenna is greater than 25 dB, which is suitable for off-body communications.

Planar High-Gain MIMO Antenna Based on the Theory of Characteristic Modes 基于特征模理论的平面高增益MIMO天线

This paper presents a high-gain multi-input multioutput antenna without decoupling structure based on the theory of characteristic modes. The antenna consists of two planar antenna elements: a loop with a rectangular patch and a rectangular planar monopole located on the opposite edge of the ground plane. These two antenna elements can excite different modes on the ground plane, thus achieving high isolation without additional decoupling structure. The simulation results obtained from the calculations show that the isolation is over 20 dB with a peak value of 42.48 dB, and the gain total is greatly improved.
