In this paper, we are going to discuss worldwide rating schemes available for roads and how a rating scheme can benefit a road and its associated stakeholders. Abstract

Roads are the most prominent part and are contributing majorly in the infrastructure development of India. It has been practiced worldwide to provide rating to the road network so that road development and operations can be performed effectively and performances related to various parameters can be easily measured.
