In the early phase of the development of an LED, an optical simulator is important for designing the LED PKG; thus, we have developed a 2D optical simulator specialized for this purpose. This simulator provides an easy and simple interface for setting simulation parameters. In addition, simulations can be executed quickly because the method used by the simulator produces a result by multiplying the vertical and horizontal results from a 2D simulation. Abstract
