Abstract

Nearly perfectly matched layer (NPML) is applied to a 3-D weaker hybrid implicit-explicit finite difference time domain (HIE-FDTD) method in this paper. By applying stretched coordinate variables in the weaker HIE-FDTD method, the formulation of the proposed HIE-NPML-FDTD algorithm can be obtained. The numerical simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is weakly conditional stable and accurate.
