Abstract
Oncofertility is an interdisciplinary field of interest, which intends to merge the knowledge in oncology and reproductive endocrinology, to develop strategies for preservation of reproductive function in cancer survivors. As with any discipline under construction, it is currently undergoing a period of maturation and transformation, in weighing the recognition of diverse and ephemeral situations, and raising ethical and bioethical questions in the search for safe and efficient solutions.
