DEVELOPMENT OF THE INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL POTENTIAL OF THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM

Abstract

The growing global interest in activating the innovative potential of economic systems, especially technological potential, is due to the need to increase the competitiveness of the national economy, as well as the increasing influence of economic activity in the field of natural resource consumption. The article examines the most significant publications for economics from the point of view of the importance of technological innovations in the economy, at the meso-, micro- and macroeconomic level from the standpoint of the ability of organizations to generate new ideas to increase production, employment and environmental protection, based on the content of the definitions: innovation, innovation process and, accordingly, the analysis of the typology of innovation.
