Abstract

This paper covers the Space Station Freedom electrical power system (EPS) design and shows how the application of that technology in aircraft (and other vehicles) electrical power distribution systems can reduce weight and volume, and improve reliability and maintainability. The design and development of the Space Station EPS was a major milestone in large-scale space power management and distribution.
