In recent years, in the context of globalization and digitalization of the economy, various types of digital financial assets, such as cryptocurrency, token, ethereum and others, have become very popular. Central banks of different countries have asked the question of the need to issue a digital national currency using blockchain technology. The Central Bank of Russia is also planning to issue a digital ruble. The appearance of the digital ruble among economic entities raises many questions about their assessment, reflection on accounts, and application in practice. The article presents the rationale for the introduction of the digital ruble, the feasibility of step-by-step testing of practical use in order to identify weaknesses in the country's payment turnover. A study was carried out to identify the attitude of Russian citizens to the introduction of the digital ruble into the country's payment turnover, taking into account factors such as education level and age The practical application of the results of the research presented in the article is possible provided that an appropriate legislative framework is formed that could create a regulatory structure for various types of digital financial assets in a rapidly changing world. The results and conclusions presented in the article can be used by the scientific and business community for further discussions.
