System reliability is dependent on the selected commutation algorithm and the proposed modulation strategy significantly affects the maximal reachable output voltage amplitude and thus the whole connected drive dynamics. Abstract
Compared matrix converter with indirect frequency converter, the lacking DC-link accumulation element is its cardinal advantage in terms of volume and weight.
