Multilevel image thresholding by fireworks algorithm 基于烟花算法的多级图像阈值分割

This paper presents implementation of the recent fireworks algorithm adjusted for solving multilevel image thresholding problem. This is an important problem since it is often used in image processing for the purpose of image segmentation. Since the number of possible threshold combinations grows exponentially with the number of desirable thresholds, standard deterministic methods could not generate satisfying results when tackling this problem. To test the performance of our proposed approach, we employed Kapur's maximum entropy thresholding function on standard benchmark images where the optimal solutions are known (up to five thresholding points) from the exhaustive search. Results show that our approach has great potential in this field.

Nonlinear noise estimation and compensation in GFDM based communication systems for cognitive radio networks 认知无线网络中基于GFDM通信系统的非线性噪声估计与补偿

Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) might be a promising candidate for deployment in cognitive radio networks and for 5G wireless communication. It is a non-orthogonal multicarrier modulation scheme based on flexible pulse shaping. However, given by the high signal amplitude fluctuation, the performance of GFDM systems is highly degraded due to the distortion caused by the nonlinear nature of high power amplifier (HPA). In this article, we investigate the effects of nonlinearities in GFDM and introduce an iterative receiver scheme to reduce the error probability of GFDM signals undergoing nonlinear amplification. The proposed technique is based on successive estimation and cancellation of the in-band distortion introduced by the nonlinear nature of the HPA characteristics. The performance improvement of the iterative receiver structure is expressed by the bit error performance and error vector magnitude.

Inventory System of Vertical Traffic Signs 垂直交通标志库存系统

Control systems in general are very important in these days. There are used in many industrial fields such as automotive, medicine and manufacture. This paper contains a draft of VTSIS (Vertical Traffic Signs Inventory System). VTSIS has wide application in the control of traffic signs, which number is increasing annually. Cambridge optical correlator is used in designed inventory system as comparator. The use of optical processing technology will increase the speed of processing amounts of data.

Best feature selection for emotional speaker verification in i-vector representation 基于i向量表示的情感说话人验证的最佳特征选择

This paper is dedicated to the gender-dependent text-independent speaker verification from Slovak emotional speech. To investigate the best speaker verification performance different features were extracted in front-end processing, namely MFCC (Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients), LPC (Linear Prediction Coefficients) and LPCC (Linear Prediction Cepstral Coefficients), and their mapping into low-dimensional vector of fixed length was performed following the principles of i-vector method. In evaluation process of i-vectors scoring following Mahalanobis distance metric was employed.

Experimental confirmation of chaos in dynamical systems with line equilibirum 具有线平衡的动力系统混沌的实验证实

This brief paper follows a very recent discoveries involving a class of the third-order autonomous deterministic dynamical systems with degenerated, namely line equilibrium. It is proved that the corresponding mathematical models can be realized as fully analogue chaotic oscillators with commercially available active elements. The theoretical background shows typical state attractors, bifurcation diagrams with respect to variable circuit parameters as well as the basins of attraction. The proposed design procedure is straightforward and final networks can be marked as canonical in the sense of minimum necessary circuit components. The experimental verification is also presented in the sense of bifurcation sequence measured by digital oscilloscope.

Digital records offer a solution for reducing the amount of stored paper-based records. However, the spread of digital devices in the last decade has introduced into medicine a large amount of digital information stored simultaneously in various formats in various locations. This study proceeds from real medical data in the Czech Republic and focuses on the Hradec Kralove area. It describes some general issues and possible solutions. Data are normally collected for each single person or population in separated data stores of practitioners and hospital information systems. These data should be linked up and shared for many purposes among specialists as well as scientists. The aim of this study is to explain how online biomedical data sources are utilized.

Network traffic shaping based on prediction of polynomial trend self-similar time series 基于多项式趋势自相似时间序列预测的网络流量整形

In the present paper shaping algorithms development is considered. Most attention is paid to shaping algorithms based on network traffic prediction. Estimates of prediction-based shapers efficiency for different forecasting techniques are obtained. It is shown that a shaping algorithm should take into account both the prehistory and future values of the traffic in order to achieve the maximum of its operation efficiency. The paper presents an adaptive linear predictor of the fractal network traffic and compares it to the simple autoregressive predictor. According to our simulation results, the autoregressive shaper grants significantly smoother output while the adaptive predictor grants significantly lower packet loss ratio.

This article deals with the problematics of data safety and security in cloud environment while using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). This article introduces and critically assesses the basic principles of SIEM in data infrastructure, its deployments in specific cloud environment, and technical requirements for SIEM solution implementation into a cloud environment applied to individual cloud distribution models.

High dynamic range and low distortion fully differential difference amplifier in CMOS 高动态范围、低失真的CMOS全差分放大器

A fully differential difference amplifier designed in 0.35 μm standard CMOS technology is presented. The proposed topology reaches high dynamic range, low equivalent input noise and a low value of total harmonic distortion. Simulation results prove that the developed amplifier circuit can be advantageously used in high performance applications that require a fully differential signal processing.

Edge detection is often used procedure in digital image processing. For some practical applications is desirable to detect edges with sub-pixel accuracy. In this paper we present comparison of two methods for edge detection with sub-pixel accuracy in 2D images: method based on a B-spline model and moment-based edge operator. The paper presents results of simulations as well as of experiments to compare methods, the L-2 distance is chosen as comparative criterion.
