Abstract

Abstract: the article is devoted to a critical analysis of the ESP syllabus of the Foreign Languages Department of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” regarding their compliance with the balanced development of the general professional competencies of future specialists in the field of IT. The research question is revealed, with the help of which meaningful accents and methodical techniques used at the department, the maximum degree of mastery of the mentioned competencies by undergraduate students of IT specialties is achieved.
