Abstract

This paper addresses analysis of the dead-times effects in parallel SVPWM three-level T-type converters. Since the zero-sequence circulating currents (ZSCCs) generation is sensitive to the averaged zero-sequence voltage differences, the dead-time effects, which are known to cause load-dependent distortion to inverter output voltages as well as the averaged zero-sequence voltages, may cause significant ZSCCs between the parallel-connected units. In this paper, the detail analysis of ZSCC generated by SVPWM based on a derived average model taking into account dead-time effects is proposed to obtain better ZSCC suppression performance in the future. To verify the validity of the developed model, the circuit simulation results are shown and compared with the analytical results.
