Abstract

The aim of this contribution is to discuss some problems regarding the measurement of the Electromagnetic Field Exposure (EFE) n 5G communication systems. The discussion clarifies how the use of the spatial resource to increase the network capacity introduces new causes of uncertainties in the estimation of the field intensity compared to previous generation of cellular networks. Simple examples regarding Massive MIMO communication systems are discussed.
