Abstract
The article studies the role of savings of the population of the Russian Federation in the process of formation of investment potential, characterizes savings from the point of view of the investment process, structured the main ways of organizing the savings of the population of Russia from the point of view of the investment process. The analysis of the savings of the population of the Russian Federation has been carried out in the following areas: dynamic analysis of the savings of the population of Russia in cash national currency, in cash foreign currency; dynamic and structural analysis of savings of the Russian population in the form of deposits; analysis of the general structure of savings of the population of Russia; analysis of the dynamics of structural changes in the savings of the population of Russia.
